These tangy, crunchy crackers are so quick and easy.
Just a quick post today! Wanted to share some easy sourdough discard crackers that are a go-to recipe in our house. I make these crackers for lunch quite often. We like to have cold trays or even small charcuterie boards for lunch. Or, as my kids like to call them, “cutie boards”.

The ingredients are simple and you most likely already have them on hand. They take absolutely no time and very minimal effort. We are all about quick and easy recipes around here.
If you don’t have a sourdough starter you can see my post All Things Sourdough Starter for step-by-step instructions, or you can contact me for some of my starter, Arlo the Sourdough.
Ingredients:
- sourdough discard
- butter
- salt
- seasoning
I have tried a variety of seasonings. These are a few of my favorites:
- everything bagel seasoning
- italian seasoning
- rosemary and thyme
Easy tips for success:
- It’s best to use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat when baking. The batter is very thin and spreads easy.
- After 10 minutes in the oven, it is best to score them so they break apart easier when finished.
- Timing will vary depending on the oven used and how thin the crackers have been spread out. It is best to keep a close eye on them throughout the baking process.
How to Store:
- Store crackers in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for a week. Assuming they last that long!
I’d love to hear in the comments how yours turned out and what seasonings you tried. Try my Chocolate Chip Cookies with Sourdough Discard recipe for your other discard recipes. Follow along with me at @overeasyhomestead on Instagram for more sourdough-baking fun. Happy snacking!
